I’ll be finishing these three monster girls for this year. October went by so fast, I blinked and it’s almost done. Don’t forget to click notify if you don’t want to miss the stream.
And for this stream I’ll be explaining how I do my art, what techniques and tools I use such as programs and brushes. So come by and say hi! I love hearing from you and what I should do next.
So big news! I just finished my almost 4 year long project: Niels Feynman‘s time traveling adventures, book 1 of 4. I so happy to have concluded that. I originally intended to be done in 2 years, but life had other plans!
Thank you everyone for joining me on this journey, for all your support and help, for everything! It meant a lot for us that you were there cheering us on, and of course the donations.
We’re very happy to have finished and we’re looking forward to future projects so stay tune as we’ll also be updating all our shops with new prints and merchandise.
Scripts for books 2-4 are almost done, I will start sketching book 2 soon. And production will begin once we raise some starting money. Until then we’ll be posting on Patreonconcept art, character sheets and the rest.
Ghibli town
The Ghibli town mod for Stardew Valley is progressing, we finally have a main map working, now we have to fill in the buildings, NPCs and events.
We still have a long way to go, but I can say we’re still on track. For more check out the video bellow:
And for future updates you can follow me on Discord and Twitch.
Mermay
Mermay event is still on and if you wish to participate you can submit your illustrations to our Facebook group or on Discord.
And I’ll be streaming how I make my illustrations on TwitchTV so see you there!
For those of you new to my work, I am a graphic artists and I make comics, games and tutorials and I’m also a big fan of Stardew Valley.
I wanted to do a vacation spot in the desert for when winter comes to Pelican town, but a lot of mods weren’t working and I wanted more space as well. So, while searching for other mods that may work I came across the desert expansion mod and it sadly seemed like it was abandoned.
I played with the idea in my head, of a desert expansion mod, for a while and people also kept telling me how they loved my farm and if, jokingly, I could be their gardener.
Therefor I started working on both mods, just the graphics, while still looking for code that worked and one lucky day I came across 13, a modder on the Chuckle fish forums, who was trying to maintain several abandoned mods that greatly expanded the SDV world and he was actually able to get in touch with Yama, the one who did the original desert expansion mod!
Click play to see the video about the two mods I’m working on.
So we are now working on a ridiculously big desert map and we have so many ideas, if we can get half done I’ll be super happy. When it’s done I will compile a list of who worked on the project and other things they did as well as who donated assets to us and helped us finish faster. I do recommend you go check my SDV mod list as well, there is great stuff there from very talented people.
Concept art
And here is some concept art, now this will most surely change because of the following reasons:
– it didn’t fit/looked good
– the idea was scraped
– I didn’t get an answer regarding permission to use so we did something else
– it was a placeholder and never meant to be final, but only to get everyone on the same page
– we couldn’t get something to work
– we got a better idea etc.
Feel free to join us, chat will be enabled on all three channels. Streaming artist submission are now closed but you can always message me and join the Facebook group to see when the next event is held and submit for the next one.
For those of you that don’t know what a #QuickDrawCollab is, here is the summary of it:
It’s an event where a couple of artists get together to quickly draw what the audience asks them. It’s the illustrator’s version of improvised theater, and it can be quite fun if you knows the artists and want your fan-fiction brought to life. It’s a great way to get to know your favorite artists and meet new ones.
So in the last month I have gotten several requests for behind the scenes and tutorials in regard to how I mod Stardew Valley the RPG and I started to make those tutorials. Feel free to leave me questions or suggestions. I love hearing from you.
We’re happy to announce we’ve concluded chapter 2 of our comic series Niels Feynman’s time traveling adventures! We’re going to have a short break while we share some of the awesome fanart we’ve been sent and after that we’ll resume with new story pages from chapter 3.
You can still send us your fanart, we’re always happy to see it. And if you want to see the pages ahead of time then follow us on Youtube as we stream how we make the pages, every week.
And for those of you who are new to our blog here are some samples from the past year.
Thanks for reading and have a lovely day!
Hisame
Hi everyone and welcome to my blog, today I want to share with you a little hobby I’ve been working on. Over the last month I’ve been working on modding my Stardew Valley farm because I wanted to learn more about making video games in preparation for my own projects and SDV is a game I’ve enjoyed playing a lot. I do recommend you pick it up as well, since it covers a lot of game genres.
I never thought I would play a pixel art game but it’s story is similar to Ernest’s storyso I decided to watch some play-throughs on Youtube and I was hooked. Here are some screen shots, I’ve modified mods from Nexus Mods because I couldn’t find the exact thing I wanted so I made a combination of multiple mods and on occasion I made my own since I couldn’t find what I wanted.
And bellow you have my YT playlist with the tours, tutorials and play-thoughs. More videos are coming soon so subscribe so you don’t miss them.
Thank you to everyone for a wonderful year! Thank you for all your support, it means a lot to us and keeps us motivated to continue our story. Also extra story page coming up tomorrow on Tapas so stay tuned. (~_^)
Bellow you can see the step by step process in making the illustration. Lineart done as always by the talented Jun Fender and coloring done by me, while texts will be translated by my friends, see the partner page here.
Thanks for being with us on this amazing journey! Much love!
I’m happy to announce we’re close to celebrating our first anniversary! 🐱🐶👦 🕘🌍 I’ve started publishing the redrawn version on Tapas on the 1st of October last year.
And all the people who have helped in supporting our comic are invited to sign our illustration after I’m done coloring it! It will be published on Tapastic and in the chapter two comic issue so we have something to remember all of you by. Thank you for all your help! It means a lot to us and we’re very happy you’ve enjoyed our comic so far. We hope to continue to entertain you always. 💖
Itch also has a donate button if you want to support my work. Any help is much appreciated. For more more substantial donations you can use Patreon to also claim rewards like merchandise and custom art.
This month we held our second #QuickDrawCollab live stream event and we will be doing another at the end of June. If you don’t know what the event is you can read here: QDC explained.
You can join our Facebook group: Hisame Artwork Event Center for schedule and application. Anyone can join as streaming artists long as they have internet and can draw. If you just want to be a spectator here is the live stream link, we will be taking requests from the audience like last times.
We also did our first #HisameBookWeek in our Facebook group. It was a week in which we did:
– Self publishing tips & tricks
– Writing and drawing tutorials
– Publisher reviews
– Promos for indies
– Fan recommendations
This time around we featured Britney Mizumi‘s comic and more comics will be featured in next events. Anyone can submit, just keep it family friendly and mark it as NSFW if it is adult.
Click on the image to go to her comic.
And last but not least a bit of bragging on my part. I got featured in the LifeSayso emagazine, which I encourage you to go check it out.
