It’s a frequent question I get asked “should I upgrade to Cintiq?”, and in this video I will tackle that idea and hope my review helps you out.
To have in mind:
Other companies offer screen in tablet: Huion, Propen, Microsoft, Apple etc.
Make sure upgrade means improvement of quality of work life.
So is it worth the extra money?
Pros
If you have poor eye hand coordination it can help.
If you couldn’t transition smoothly from traditional art to digital.
Cons
Costs a lot more. Both to buy and to fix if dropped.
Size matters. That’s extra costs.
Your hand is over the image.
Still needs a computer.
Conclusions?
If you are on a budget, adaptable or a beginner maybe just try it somewhere first. Then decide.
