Every Friday I feature some of the products, services and machines I use in my projects. Let’s help each other find the best things for our hobbies or businesses! \(^o^)/ Use #HisameReview to find more recommendations and #HisameMerch to find more of my merchandise.
This week I featured the unboxing my proof copies from Lulu. And if you have any questions or suggestions feel free to share them in the comments bellow.

So I’ve started work on publishing my science themed calendar on Lulu.com, the print on demand book publishing company.

They have good prices from what I’ve seen so far, and occasionally offers free shipping. But they are a nightmare to work with if you are a new publisher, like me. Support is non-existent and their help pages don’t work sometimes, you’ll get a 404 error. It’s a huge website and company and I think they are understaffed. I’ve gotten my orders mixed with someone else, but they fixed that in a very professional and automated way. You’ll only get no-reply mails to notify you of issues and updates, so not much human contact.

But when I’m done publishing, those of you who have expressed your desire to own a copy of my calendar, you will be able to have the calendar delivered at home at half the price I can make it with my printer and maybe even with free shipping if you make an account with with Lulu.
Hello world! My collectible sticker booklet is now on Lulu! Hurrah!
For those that don’t know Lulu is a company that offers self publishing services for independent writers. It’a print on demand website for books, calendar and other similar products. It’s also one of the biggest companies in this industry and thus offers the possibility to then sell your book though Amazon and Barnes n Noble.
While I like the awesome services it offers, prices are not the best and the site is full of bugs and customer support is overwhelmed so don’t expect much help or any help from there.
I’m currently looking into other companies to see what other possibilities I have while I wait for my booklet to get into Amazon which will take between 6 to 8 weeks.
