Hi everyone! I’ve recently updates and enabled a lot of the art prints in my Society6 shop. S6 has made more items available for print so I’ve enabled and updated a lot of my best sellers there. Let me know if I missed a print you wanted and I will make it available.
Hi friends! As you may remember from last week Teepublic sponsored my my Black Friday merchandise giveaway. Thank you all for participating, hope you enjoyed it, more giveaway are coming next year so keep your eyes peeled if you want to participate again.
As a European I can definitely relate to the sucky feeling of not being eligible for a giveaway from the USA, but I will try to make international giveaways and if have good sales the coming year that will definitely make things easier, so fingers crossed all goes well!

I love giving gifts and I want to thank you all for your ongoing support for my projects and with their help I can give you a printed T-shirt, mug or notebook with one of my designs, at your choice! Hi everyone! So I’m happy to announce that I was just made a Teepublic affiliate. All these banners were made by them especially for me!
For those of you that don’t know, Teepublic is a print on demand service provider and part of the CollegeHumor and Vimeo group. They have apparel, office merchandise and art prints on various types of canvas.
Now what is an affiliate you may ask? Well it’s an artist invited to join the affiliate program and if he joins he’ll get extra visibility though their “featured artist” section (and you do need to have min. 15 prints to apply for that)…aaand if you’re the artist in question, most importantly, you get an additional 11% from your sales on top of the 20% you get by default.
So that is a 30% cut , who gives you more? I know Society6 gives me 10% for merchandise and I can set my rate for the big art prints and they have discount events and art events so I’m happy with them.
RedBuuble on the other hand you can set the cut how much you want for all prints, it will just increase the base price. Also Redbubble doesn’t do much of anything to promote artists…no featured list, no curators, they don’t police for art thieves and don’t even get me started on Zazzle and Etsy…and there is more but I’ll rant another time. This post is about Teepublic and
get this, the T-shirts are 14$! So the extra cut you get as a creators doesn’t mean higher prices for the consumer as the T-shirts are cheaper than what is the normal price for these in the west. I’ve only seen lower prices for P.O.D. companies in Asia where a T-shirt I design can be 8$ without my cut or 10% cut but the shipping for custom items is big from there to here so it depends where you live. Conclusion of this horrible horrible math: Teepublic is a good deal.
And an extra bit of good news is that on top of the “3 days new print discount” they also organize site-wide discounts periodically. So subscribe to the newsletter so you don’t miss the extra discounts!
